M.S. and PhD. students normally enter the department the following Autumn Quarter.Masters degree with a minimum of 1.75/5.0 (where 1 is the highest) or 3.5/4.0. Subject-specific requirements. Your qualification should be in a physics-based subject (including mathematics and engineering degrees) with significant modern physics content including quantum mechanics, electrodynamics and nuclear physics.
